so you are familiar with how Brat Chat works so your experience be a great one.
Logging In:
The Brat Chat system requires you to log in using either your name or a nickname (or handle). You will also need a password that is at least five characters and/or numbers. Write down your Nickname and Password. Lost names and passwords cannot be retrieved. You can of course, select a new nickname and password, but as you use Brat Chat, other users will usually recognize your nickname after a while.
Display:
The chat display has three parts. Below the Brat Chat graphic is the message box, where you will type your message and five buttons: Post, More, Private, Clear, Leave.
Along the left in the grey box area is the User List which displays the current users who are logged in. Below is the message display where Private messages sent to you are displayed.
On the right in the light yellow area is where the public messages appear, with a dividing line between users.
Sending Chat Messages:
The Brat Chat page will update with new messages
only when you send a chat message or use the More button.

If you are not interested in chatting, but want to follow what others are saying, you will have to click on the More button every few seconds.
You may have a "side" conversation or send private messages to others who are logged in by clicking on the Private button under the text window. Private messages appear as red text and are only visible by you and the person receiving the messages.
Additional Information:
Be sure to take a look at the Brat Chat Help page for complete instructions and more details on using the system.

A "Brat Life"
Sample . . .
" . . . For military brats, one common feature was the base theater. It did not
get first-run films, usually, but it was cheap (and, in the '60's it
cost a dime). An special treat was the Saturday Matinee."
