March 20, 2000.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.
AOSHS endorsed by Military-Brats Registry and Military
Brats Online.
Military Brats Online and the Military-Brats Registry has
officially endorsed the AOSHS plans to build archives,
musuem and park, etc.
According to Marc Curtis, creator of the Military-Brats Registry, "This marks
the beginning a new chapter to the Military Brats' history."
"Until now the only constant in our lives has been the bases we lived on
and the schools we attended. As this changes - as schools close and as
we move on, the need for a place which Military Brats can call 'home' is necessary."
The American Overseas High School Historical Society was created to archive school
records, photographs, yearbooks and other documents of historical significance. In addition
to the archives, there will be built a visitor's center and museum which will serve
both the general public and the Military Brats community.

Military Brats Network Launches On The Move.
While there are hundreds of web sites which deal with Military Brt Schools and alumni groups, there has not been a publication which focuses strictly on stateside and overseas Military Brats, unti now.
"We realized that not everyone is online and the need for a publication which archives the many stories about growing up in the Military was very important," according to Marc Curtis.
The publication, printed in two colors, debuted and has been well received by Military Brats everywhere. The premier issue contained articles and stories which celebrate the very unique heritage every Military Brat shares.
"We've had a lot of stories contributed through the Military Brats Online website, ranging from what brats miss the most about their nomadic life to stories about how profoundly the experience of moving about has changed them," said Vann Baker.
"This publication will put these articles and stories into a printed format for both wider distribution of information and a convenient package.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.
Military-Brats Registry and Military Brats Online Join Forces.
Military-Brats Registry and Military Brats Online have joined forces to better serve
the Military Brat community.
Military Brats Online, created and launched by Vann Baker in 1995 and Military-Brats Registry,
created and launched by March Curtis in 1997, both have been sending web site visitors to each other's web sites for years.
"This more formal arrangement, which we are calling the Military Brat Network, will bring the two organizations closer together and we are planning to do several joint projects together, the first being a newsletter," said Vann Baker.
According to Marc Curtis, "We have worked together for some time now and it's natural that we would want to combine our two organizations to create a stronger one."
The Military Brats-Registry, which has thousands of Military Brats in its database, gives Military Brats the opportunity to find "lost" friends and to be found.
Military Brats Online helps Military Brats to connect with their heritage by linking visitors to Military Brat Schools, alumni organizations and allows visitors to post announcements and read about Military Brat Life.
Marc Curtis said, "We will have some exciting news soon about a special project Vann and I are working on. Check back on the web sites for more information."

A "Brat Life"
Sample . . .
" . . . We made everything from ashtrays to flower pots, to candy dishes, lamps, goblets and jewelry boxes. For a ten-year-old who had worked with clay in school to make a simple coiled clay pot that turned out lopsided, this process of using molds to create intricate pieces was the greatest thing since sliced bread."
