Military Brats Online offers its readers the opportunity to subscribe to a free e-mail newsletter called MBO E-News. This newsletter is published monthly and is an "opt-in" newsletter, that is, one that the reader has chosen to subscribe to voluntarily.

Military Brats Online requires the reader to submit their name and e-mail address in order to subscribe and receive the newsletter. This information is required in order to manage our subscriber list and to e-mail the newsletter to subscribers. E-mails are always sent to individuals only so the entire list is kept private.

Readers may unsubscribe or "opt-out" at any time by going back to the MBO-E-News Form, completing the online form, unchecking the subscription check-box then checking the un-subscribe check-box and finally submitting the form.

Unsubscribe requests will be processed within 30 days from the date received by Military Brats Online. For this reason, a reader may receive a final e-mail newsletter if one is scheduled for delivery before the subscriber list has been updated.

Military Brats Online offers its readers the opportunity to post and read messages in a public message board forum. Users registering can choose not make their e-mail address public if they wish to by editing their "Profile". Users of the service use a "Nickname" of their choosing and can keep their online identity anonymous if they choose.

Within Sound Off! is a Messaging service allowing users to e-mail each other within the system.

The Sound Off! administrator does keep registered users (non-guests) e-mail address in order to notify users of news and events regarding Sound Off! and to remind subscribers about subscription renewals.
